OVERVIEW
The department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) was established in the academic year 2021 and offers B. Tech degrees with a variety of minor specializations. In addition, the department offers a doctoral program. The department’s goal is to act as a catalyst for the advancement of knowledge and innovation in the rapidly evolving fields of data science and artificial intelligence. We are dedicated to nurturing a community of curious and driven individuals who are committed to pushing the boundaries of human understanding and harnessing the power of data and intelligent systems for societal benefit. Our primary goal is to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of AI and Data Science leaders who will, in turn, shape the future of technology, science, and industry. We strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative environment that fosters academic excellence, creativity, and ethical responsibility.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
The ATRIUM (Automation Technology & Research in Utopian Machinery) Council, is the dedicated departmental council of the AI&DS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) department. It plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic and extracurricular experiences of its students. Through a diverse array of events, workshops and initiatives, such as the Coding Challenger Series, Cyber Security Seminar, Esport's Event, Excel Workshop, etc. The council creates a dynamic and engaging environment for its members. In addition to these activities, the ATRIUM Council promotes physical well-being by encouraging student participation in sports and athletic activities. Furthermore, the council is committed to future social welfare initiatives, aiming to engage students in projects that contribute to the betterment of the community and society as a whole. Beyond these endeavours, the council takes a proactive approach to address students' concerns and challenges, with a primary goal of enriching the lives of students. It provides valuable resources, mentorship, and guidance to help them pursue their careers and aspirations in the world of AI and data science.

Dr. O.P. Singh received a grant of ₹20 lakhs under the AICTE Inter-Institutional Biomedical Innovations Program.
